South Carolina African-American History Online and its annual calendar are brought to you through AT&T and its partners. The 2008 calendar marks the nineteenth year AT&T has spearheaded this initiative, providing educators, parents, and visitors a method of identifying African-American role models for all youth, honoring notable African-American achievers with ties to South Carolina.

The entire 2008 calendar can be downloaded in PDF format and enjoyed throughout the year. Alternatively, you can elect to receive a monthly version of the calendar via email with links that allow you to print or forward each honoree and his or her respective calendar month. In each case, you will find both an inspiring story about the honoree and a day-by-day record of significant dates in South Carolina African American history.
